While Spring 1968 saw riots on the streets of Paris, in Glasgow it was all about shopping.
This stylish pair are passing Sauchiehall Street's McLellan Galleries, and the big windows of the now vanished Treron's department store. The shop's canvas awnings certainly aren't offering much protection from the strong spring sunshine, which is castling long shadows across the pavement.
Sadly, with the demise of the great stores, Sauchiehall Street is also now a shadow of its former self, with this stretch offering little more than bars, eateries, and nightclubs.
