Glasgow DJ 'Tiger' Tim Stevens was a fixture of the city's nightclubs and airwaves for almost 40 years.
The Easterhouse boy, real name James Gerard Dickson McGrory, was always music mad, and began his DJ'ing career, aged just 17, spinning discs at the Electric Gardens nightclub, in Sauchiehall Street (now the Garage). Before long, his cheeky personality and perfect patter saw him with his head in the Clouds, the nightclub which used to sit atop the Apollo.
With his massive teenage following, he was soon snapped up by the nascent Radio Clyde, where his phone in request shows - including the 'Aff his Heid Show' - were legendary for their risque content.
Seen here on Custom House Quay in the 1970s, in one of his trademark tiger-print outfits, Tim was a great one for giving out cuddly toys to his fans.
Diagnosed with MS in 1987, the Tiger made his final Radio Clyde broadcast in 2010.
