A face in the crowd.
Before he found fame, before he was a global star, Billy Connolly, the Big Yin, was just another Clydeside welder.
It's 1971, and with the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders dispute in full swing, Connolly, top right, joined his former shipyard comrades at this mass meeting.
At this time, his Humblebums partnership with his Paisley pal Gerry Rafferty was coming to an end, with Billy beginning to find his feet as a solo performer.
The following year, he would release his first solo album - Billy Connolly Live - recorded at the Tudor Hotel, in Airdrie. And, the rest, as they say, is history.
