The east end of St Vincent Street offered something for almost every faith in the early 1960s, with, from left, St Columba's Gaelic Cathedral; the magnificent Alexander 'Greek' Thomson church - then being used as a spiritualist church;  and, closest to us, the colonnaded, and almost forgotten, St Vincent Street Unitarian Church.

Sadly, since this this picture was taken, everything on both side of the road below the cathedral and the 'Greek' Thomson beauty, has all been swept away, with the approach roads, and on and off ramps to the M8 and Kingston Bridge blasting their way through the scene.
